Argentina 3 - 4 France (Jun-30-2018) World cup Highlights

Kylian Mbappe announced himself at the World Cup with a Man Of The Match performance as France beat Argentina to reach the World Cup quarter-finals.

Kylian Mbappe became ithe first teenager to score twice at a World Cup since Pele in 1958, with both goals coming within four second-half minutes to cancel out Angel Di Maria and Gabriel Mercado's goals.

Antoine Griezmann had given France the lead through a penalty after just 12 minutes, Mbappe's impressive run being ended by Marcos Rojo inside the area.

Argentina continued to struggle to make any sort of impact in the first half until Di Maria beat Hugo Lloris from more than 30 yards just before the break.

After the break Argentina defender Mercado directed Lionel Messi's shot past helpless France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris minutes into the second half.

Their lead did not last long as Benjamin Pavard's astonishing half-volley bent around Franco Armani for the equaliser

Kylian Mbappe then stole the show, making a dazzling run into the penalty area to beat Armani from close range before running on to Olivier Giroud's inch perfect through ball to find the far corner.

Sergio Aguero, on as a substitute, headed home in the 93rd minute but it was too late for Argentina to rescue the match
